How do I find my PMI ID number?
You will receive your PMI ID number when you first apply for PMI membership. This number is commonly known as your Member ID.
Where do I get the Application for Certification Renewal?
Once the credential holder meets the requirements of the CCR program, PMI's certification system will update the credential holder's profile to allow them to complete the renewal process online. The credential holder is alerted via an e-mail to the address that PMI has on record. If an online transaction is not the most desired method of renewal, the credential holder who is eligible to renew can download a PDF of the renewal form that can be filled out and mailed to PMI with the appropriate renewal fee. Faxes will not be accepted.
I have retired from the project management profession. How do I end my certification?
Please send a written request to PMI's certification department. Your certification will then be marked non-active. PMP holders with 10 years of good certification standing may qualify for the PMP-Retired status.
What happens if my eligibility expires and I have not taken the exam?
Candidate applications are valid for one (1) year from the date of approval. If a candidate allows their eligibility to lapse, candidates must re-apply.
How do I schedule to take the PMP or CAPM examination?
The PMP and CAPM credential examinations are offered globally at Prometric Testing Centers during normal business hours Monday through Saturday (excluding holidays). You cannot schedule your examination appointment until you receive your eligibility notification and have submitted payment. Please refer to Prometric's Web site for more information.
