Election 2010 - Announcement Dear PMI - Chennai Chapter Members, PMI – Chennai Chapter is soliciting nominations for three Vice President Positions on the Chapter Board. The open positions include: - Vice President – Education & Certification (vacancy caused by the resignation of Ms. N Dhamayanthi)
- Vice President – Volunteer Development (new position)
- Vice President – Membership & Outreach (new position)
The Roles and Responsibilities for each open position are detailed in the “PMICC - Roles and Responsibilities” document attached and also located in the home page of our Chapter website. The Nomination Form enclosed herewith is also available for download from the home page of our Chapter’s website. If you are interested in any of the open positions, fill in the attached “Nomination Form” submit it to the Election Commissioner latest by 20th Aug 2010, 8.00 PM IST. Nominations sent after this time will not be considered. Being elections held midway in the 2009 – 2011 term, these positions will be valid till 2011 at which time the newly elected members will be eligible for re-election. Serving on the Board provides the opportunity to work with experienced Project Managers from a variety of disciplines. As a maturing Chapter, you have the opportunity to influence the direction for program and professional development. Eligibility Criteria for Nomination: 1. The candidate MUST be a PMI Member & PMI Chennai Chapter Member in good standing throughout the election process. 2. A candidate can send in nominate himself/herself for only one position. 3. On completion of the deadline for filing nominations, a nominee cannot change the application for a different post. 3. An option will be provided to withdraw the nomination if desired. 4. In case no nominations are received for a position after the deadline for filing nominations, the Board of Directors will take up the additional responsibilities as additional portfolios till elections are again held for these positions. 5. Acceptance of nominations is at the sole discretion of the Election Commissioner. As decided by the Board, Online Voting will be adopted from a secured third party vendor for the current elections to increase the members’ participation.
